Adelboden and it's neighbouring spa village of Lenk provide a fantastically tranquil and traditionally Swiss ski area that stretches out to encompass 185km of piste.
Skiing & Boarding
Though not widely known, Adelboden and Lenk form a relatively large ski area ideal for beginners and intermediates. With plenty of gentle blue slopes, lovely scenery and nice mountain restaurants this resort is perfect for those wishing to take it easy and relax in the mountains. That said, there is still a good number of reasonably challenging black runs to keep the more advanced skiers and boarders occupied and a good opportunity for plenty of undisturbed off piste runs both above and below the tree line.
Adelboden
The traditional village of Adelboden has been left unspoiled and provides a quiet atmosphere to relax in coupled with enough activities and events throughout the season to keep you from getting bored. Some of the seasonal highlights include the F.I.S. Ski World Cup and the Horaschlitta-Rena sledge race. There are plenty of other things to do in the resort and a wide variety of restaurants and bars to suite every taste and budget.
Lenk
Lenk is smaller than Adelboden and is situated at the at the end of the Simmen valley, just over the mountains from Adelboden that provide the main ski area. Lenk is a traditional spa town with an active sulphur spa. The town made a name for itself as a top ski resort when it hosted the British Ski Championships and provides a quiet place to sit back and relax at the end of a hard day on the slopes.

Both Adelboden and Lenk are great resorts for family holidays providing plenty of assistance and facilities specifically for families and both being awarded the coveted Swiss "family friendly" seal of approval.
